CTE Programs

Career and Technical Education (CTE) in our school is designed to provide students with the academic and career-technical skills they need to be successful in post-secondary education and/or in the workforce. Ponaganset's CTE programs are approved by the RI Department of Education (RIDE), align to the State CTE Board standards, and develop career-specific skills in addition to content standards. Students from in and out-of-district have the opportunity to enroll in Ponaganset’s CTE Programs.

Ponaganset High School (PHS) offers rigorous academics, state-of-the-art facilities, and flexible career programs supported by the latest technology. Our academic and Career and Technical Education (CTE) Programs were developed to provide students with a competitive edge by preparing them for college and careers in high-demand and high-wage labor markets.

Ponaganset's CTE Programs provide students with opportunities for work-based learning, membership in the National Technical Honor Society and other State and Local endorsements. Please see individual CTE Program pages for more specific information.
