Student-Led Tours

STUDENT-LED TOURS

In June of each school year the students of Ponaganset exhibit the evidence gathered in their P3 Portfolio to a group of education professionals, parents/guardians and invited guests. The student-led tour not only showcases highlights or final versions, it also engages students in capturing the journey, failures, and reflections that lead to meaningful learning. They reflect on goals, set new goals, discuss college and career aspirations and share their plans to meet the aspirations.

With Covid protocols behind us we can once again open our doors and engage in this community event as we invite parents and guardians to join the presentations and ensuing conversations.

The typical themes included in the conversations each year include:

  • Progress in meeting required Graduation Competency Badges and Transferable Skills

  • YouScience reflections

  • Career goals and plans

  • Post-secondary goals and plans

  • Post-secondary program search

  • Ponaganset plans for next school year

  • Review of student résumé

  • Letter to future self

  • Passion Project Proposal (11th grade)

  • Senior Summer Preparations (11th grade)
